NO BRACES!!!

I’ve had my braces off for 2 years now!!! I’m very excited that I’m FINALY getting them off! my teeth were JACKED up before I had my braces. They were very crooked and my bite was off!! I dont think I will recognize me self without braces!!! I’ve had them of for that long!!

What is Long QT Syndrome? § Long QT Syndrome is a heart disease that gives you an irregular heart beat. The side effects are seizures § Heart Attacks § and some times the heart can beat so fast that it can kill you §. In children it can cause SIDS § Sudden infant death syndrome§. 1out of 7000 newborn babies are born and diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome. 1 out of 7000 §. On September 30th 2004 while we were out celebrating my father’s birthday, newborn baby Joseph Michael Rizzo was rushed to the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, and was immediately prepped for surgery. Already having the problem of having to be born early he has been diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome. 1 out of 7000. The parents Joe and Leslie Rizzo are left at Northside Hospital while there newborn baby, Joe’s first and Leslies Second, is being operated on. He is having a pacemaker attached to his heart. The pacemaker with help keep his heart at a controlled pace. 1 out of 7000. Every 7 years he’ll have to have a new pacemaker installed to his heart o at 7, then 14, then 21, 28, 35, 42, 49 and so on. 1 out of 7000. As Joey grew up he became close to his father. Every Wednesday they would go to Chucky Cheese’s and takes rides in Joe’s exact replica of the General Lee with the orange color, the rebel flag on top, and even the horn. Joe loves cars and even owns a valet company, so did Joey. Every night Joey would fall asleep with a car in each hand. The years went by and Joey was 3 years old and died exactly 12 days before his birthday. The 8th day of September of 2009 was one of the worst day for the Rizzo family and their closest friends. That day Joey went to the doctor and was told that he had strep throat. Now, because he was 1 out of 7000 newborns to be born with Long QT Syndrome, he couldn’t have a temperature of above 103 because it would cause his heart to beat faster. He was also told another thing§ His pacemaker had stopped working. That night he had a temperature of 104 and 45 minutes later he began having seizures. 1 out of 7000. Leslie immediately went into action and took him to the children hospital of Atlanta and met Joe there. On the way there Joey told his mother that the angles were coming to take him to see hi papa and that everything would be ok. 3 days earlier Joey asked to talk to me on the phone and told me he loved me and without knowing it would be the last thing I would say to him I told him I loved him too. I’m glad it was. Some one once said “If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, I’d walk to heaven and bring you back again”. Joey died in Joe’s arms that night on the way back to the hospital for the 3rd time. To me optimism is being able to look in the eyes of Joe and Leslie and be happy not feel sorrow or hate. Joe and Leslie are the most optimistic people I know to be able to loose everything they care about and to still make the most of their lives. They have had another child Asher Joseph Rizzo, who has been born healthy and with a perfect strong heartbeat. If you have lost a friend, sibling, Parent, an Aunt or Uncle§, Grandparent§, or anyone close to you§, don’t drown your self in sorrow and hate. Make the most of your life. Build your stairway to heaven. Be like Joe and Leslie
